Hourly Rate: Commensurate with experience

Position Summary

Install and repair telecommunication and associated electronic equipment and wiring per specification and operational procedures. Run testing and diagnostic procedures or equipment according to published equipment standards. Secondary Requirements: May also perform such duties as assemble, construct and or install equipment, modems, circuits or parts. Conduct a variety of standardized tests; record test data or statistics from various sources and present data in prescribe form.

Required Skills

  • Requires practical knowledge in electronics, electricity or related discipline gained through technical education/training.
  • Knowledge and skill in application of telephony and transmission principles, switching and electronic testing.
  • Ability to use hand tools, electronic testing equipment and computer data terminal.
  • Associate degree in electronics or equivalent.
  • Minimum three (3) years directly related testing experience.
  • Must be able to work from schematic drawings and repair printed circuit boards down to component level.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
