Position Summary
The person hired for this role will be a senior technical resource working with the operation and engineering group. Candidate will work with the Network team to provide engineering and support services for existing infrastructure and new business. Candidate will work with the RFP team during the pre-bid phase to help design and document LAN/WAN/Cisco solutions, and lead multiple projects during implementations.
Candidate will provide industry standard recommendations for detailed security documentation on the network devices and configurations. This includes but is not limited to configuration setups, security policies and procedures. Provide recommendations for future security precautions on current WAN and LAN equipment and technology, new acquisitions that interface with the WAN and LAN, and enhanced security services. Willing to consider senior level CCNP candidate.
Professional Experience
- Provide RFP responses with technical details and diagrams. Produce Project plan development and Implement RFP designs into a production environment.
- Development of deployment and test plans.
- Obtain vendor quotes and submit orders.
- Planning and Design support of Cisco data centers consisting of Cisco AS5400 dial platform, Pix/ASA, MARs, VPNs, QoS, VoIP and F5 Local Load Balancers.
Technical Skills
- Candidates must be or working towards CCIE certification, have excellent communication skills and have experience working with and presenting solutions to clients.
- Team leadership skills and experience is also required.
- Client specifically requires Cisco Routing and Security experience. Strong Cisco Routing and Switching Skills Required. Router & Switch or Security CCIE Certification
- Bachelor’s degree, technical degree or equivalent experience
Secondary Requirements:
- Microsoft, Linux or Unix administration certification a plus
- Additional certifications in operating systems, databases and programming languages a plus.
- Telecom experience a plus.
